Life is good, all of it, that's not to say it's always pleasant. As hard as the painful is to take, life goes on whether we are ready or not. Life is stages. All this to say these days lately are challenging. Two close family members are dealing with life threatening illnesses. My step father is hanging on to life after being in ICU for 10 days from pneumonia, a heart attack and kidney problems. My husbands's aunt has been diagnosed with lung cancer and is looking at chemotherapy and perhaps a shortened life span. It is hard to see any good. We hope for the best. Sometimes the best is what is best for the patient, not for the family, but we don't have the power to change what happens. None of us can set our time.
