Michigan vacation We just got back from a trip up route 66 and up,up, up to all of Michigan, including the upper Peninsula. We were gone 18 days and traveled over 4000 miles. Whew. I already posted some of my pictures on facebook, but decided to share some of them with you from my blog. In the UP we went to Mackinaw island which included a great butterfly exhibit and on up the UP to Whitefish point and Eagle Harbor and Copper Harbor and Tequamenon Falls. It was breathtaking, partly because it was beautiful and partly because we were freezing (in June)....

Life is good, all of it, that's not to say it's always pleasant. As hard as the painful is to take, life goes on whether we are ready or not. Life is stages. All this to say these days lately are challenging. Two close family members are dealing with life threatening illnesses. My step father is hanging on to life after being in ICU for 10 days from pneumonia, a heart attack and kidney problems. My husbands's aunt has been diagnosed with lung cancer and is looking at chemotherapy and perhaps a shortened life span. It is hard to see...
